MoodBoard Evaluation

For my project i also created a moodboard which helped a lot with ideas and really get the conventions of the horror genre solid in my head. This is a picture of me giving a presentation of my moodboard to my audience.
After doing my presentation of my mood board i got feedback about it and it really helped me come up with better ideas. I got told that in my mood board i put more the conventions of horros in general rather than actually telling the story of my short film which i see that i did do which i dont think its necessarily bad as it just helped me get the conventions right which will help later on.
This is my actual mood board and you can see i have used lots of pictures of similar horror films with the chase idea (thats what i'm doing), i have also shown that i am going to subvert the genre by using pink writing in my moodboard.

Location Shoot

My genre of my short film is Horror, I am adhering to the genre theory and setting my short film in a dark, secluded, spooky forest. Below are some pictures of my location taken at night with some light being used by car headlights which I think really creates the horror effect and just from these few pictures you can tell that this location will work well in a horror film.

Famous Photographer Amanda Norman

For my video project I looked at some famous Photographers to get the idea of how to shoot some scenes in my short film. I looked at Amanda Norman as she takes horror pictures which fits with my genre and can definitely give me some ideas to work off. Amanda is a UK Photographer and is a fan of classical horror.
I like this picture because of the low angle it was taking at and the really low lighting they use just gives an overall scary and lonely feel to the whole picture.
Again I like this picture and how the background is distorted which again makes it look very scary and the use of trees with no leaves just connotes death.
I liked the technique they used in this photo as well and I will try to use it in my short film, where I will just show the side of my characters face and then show something in the background as it just creates a sense of horror as the character does not see.
I like the use of this shot again which uses a low angle shot again which shows the item you are shooting (the evil character in my film) to be important and big. I also like the lighting and how they have blacked out and distorted the character so you can't quite make it out and it's a good idea which i will most probably use.
